e-grou Enterprise Edition is the right choice for companies that want to have their document management solution hosted in-house to benefit from the increased productivity due to integration with other in-house business software solutions. You can use our web client to access documents that are stored in your servers remotely, through a secure internet connection and our local windows client to benefit from the increased productivity of using our MS Office and AutoCAD e-grou connectors. Both clients offer you nearly the same features in regard to mail management; document checkout and checkin and revision control, workflow management and notifications; and vault configuration and administration.
The web browser clients do not require installation of any software in the client computer. Windows clients require installation of the e-grou windows client software in the local computer. You may use both clients to access remotely documents in your server. Windows clients require installation of Virtual Private Network (VPN) software for remote access.
Since e-grou Enterprise Edition licenses are concurrent on the network, you just need to license the amount of software needed for the maximum number of users that are estimated to use it simultaneously. These licenses may be shared across your organization and with other organizations that do business with you.
e-grou windows clients are recommended for users that are more involved with importing documents and registering incoming and outgoing mail. The MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the AutoCAD connectors are only available for e-grou windows clients. These connectors add an add-in button to these third party applications giving access to the e-grou file system directly from their toolbars.
